We are looking for an Power Markets & Storage Analyst EMEA for one of our customers: a global player in the field of renewable energies, which develops, designs, builds, and manages plants that generate clean energy. Moreover, they provide highly specialized energy management and downstream services to both energy producers and consumers and use their know-how to manage third-party assets from a technical and operational perspective. 

Responsibilities: 

Support the Power Market Analysis (Battery Storage and Solar PV) in the Energy Management Area: 

• Define business strategies to optimize the revenues from Battery Storage and Solar PV assets and the sale of renewable energy in the EMEA pipeline. 
• Develop and optimize forecast models for the European power markets: pricing forecasts, cannibalization effect, curtailment risks,  grid constraints, and other market-related analyses. 
• Carry out energy market research in new geographies, as well as monitor active countries: market structure, storage and renewable  energy incentives, regulatory framework, and market dynamics. 
• Monitor and analyze public auctions, as well as PPA opportunities, available in the different markets for the storage and renewable  energy industry. 
• Develop market intelligence on the existing countries in terms of drivers and regulations. 
• Develop relationships with local market regulators and market consultants. 

Education/Training 

• Over 2 years of experience in market analysis, mainly focused on power markets and renewable energy. Experience in developing power market analysis in the European markets will be a plus. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Economics. 
• Specialized master’s degree in energy markets, renewable energy, or risk management will be a plus.

• Candidate must be proficient in English (additional languages will be considered a plus) 
• High predisposition to multi-task working and flexibility for dynamic needs. 
• Strong analytical and process management skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work autonomously. 
• Self-driven and proactive attitude with the initiative to take on challenges. 
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and intercultural skills. 
• Structured, ordered, and accurate working standards. 
• Proficient use of MS Office tools. 
• Interest in the renewable energy industry, with a focus on energy management. 
• PLUS: skills in financial modelling, data management, and analysis using statistical/quantitative methods and basic programming  knowledge (at least one of SQL, Python, R, MATLAB). 
• PLUS: Interest in Data Science and Machine Learning.
