  • Join the LATAM team within an expanding division, a rapid-growth business unit with global scope and high value.
  • Lead investment financial analysis, project coordination and market research in line with business strategy and expansion plan.
  • Cooperate in key business activities such as Project Finance, M&A and the updating of the Company´s Business Plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development and Investment Analysis

  • Closely monitors the market, projects, and players in the global PV industry.
  • Financial Project modeling and scenarios
  • Focuses on market analyses and project opportunity assessments from a financial and technical perspective, leading financial modeling for new projects (pre-auction), running price sensitivities, investment schedules, energy sales assumptions, etc.
  • Supports due diligence processes and project acquisition closings interacting with a global internal team (technical, EPC, legal, financial…) in a dynamic business division.
  • Assists in the discussion of collaboration proposals with key players (developers/EPCs/Lenders/Investors).
  • Takes a relevant role creating strong investment proposals to be presented to the internal investment committee.
  • Assists the Project Finance Team in the financial modeling of portfolio projects to support the contracting of structured debt and potential M&A.
  • Assists in the drafting of internal reports, working with the Finance Team to ensure that the Business Plan reflects the reality of the Company´s portfolio.
  • Interaction with potential financiers (commercial banks, capital markets, export agencies and development banks): financial modeling, Q & A’s, meetings to answer questions about the projects, etc

GENERAL

  • Focus in Colombia but support other geographies in LATAM (Mexico, Argentina, Chile etc.) when needed
  • Full proficiency in excel
  • Responsible for the investment commit numbers of the projects
  • Carries out reporting tasks and ensures compliance to internal procedures and policies
  • Represents the company before world leading commercial partners and creates brand awareness.
  • Documents commercial, legal and financial processes on a detailed basis – ensuring high data accuracy.

REQUERIMENTS

Education / Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration/finance/Engineering
  • Specialized master’s degree or additional training on renewables/PV as a plus.


Work Experience

Minimum 3 – years’ experience in financial analysis environment (Project Finance Department)

  • Experience in the renewable energy sector (solar PV or wind as a plus).


Technical Knowledge

  • Professional experience in excel-based financial modeling (advanced formulation, macros…) is a must. 
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

LANGUAGES

English (fluent), Spanish (fluent), skills in other languages will be an advantage.
