At Grow Talent Solutions we are looking a Senior Manager / Associate Director, LATAM (Based in Madrid), for one of our customers: one of the fastest growing companies in the solar industry worldwide. Operating with subsidiaries on each continent, my customer delivers products of uncompromising quality and costefficient, sustainable solar solutions to promote a globally lasting development. 

  • To integrate into the successful LATAM team within the expanding Energy Group of the company:
  • Playing a key role in multi-million USD projects for one of the most prestigious solar energy firms.
  • Working autonomously and having a complete combination of business development and financial skills.
  • Have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the company’s regional growth, profitability and strategic direction.
  • Contract conditions: employment contract with initial 6-month probation period.
  • Working schedule: 40-hour working week.
  • International mobility: availability for international travels in the mid-term

RESPONSIBILITIES

LATAM PV Projects and Markets:

  • Manages a high added-value team and interacts with key functions in the region.
  • Leads a pool of analysts located in different offices in the Region, leads project opportunity analyses and controls financial modeling.
  • Leads extensive financial and multidisciplinary research (legal, tax, macro, …) in key countries in the region.
  • Focuses on creating strong investment proposals to be presented to the risk and investment committees.
  • Guides due diligence processes and project transaction closings.
  • Guides discussions on collaboration proposals with key players (developers/EPCs/Lenders/Investors).
  • Discusses with prospective commercial partners to understand needs, request for services and design business plans.
  • Supervises key markets, projects and players in the region and the global PV industry.

GENERAL

  • Interacts with a global team (technical, EPC, legal, financial…) in a dynamic business division.
  • Represents the company before world leading commercial partners and creates brand awareness. 
  • Documents commercial, legal and financial processes on a detailed basis – ensuring high data accuracy. 
  • Ensures compliance to internal procedures and policies and external regulation and standards.

REQUERIMENTS

Education/Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in business / finance / economics 
  • Specialized master’s degree or additional training on financial modeling are a plus.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 7/8-year experience in a business development, project finance or M&A
  • Minimum 3/4-year experience in the renewable energy sector (solar PV, and experience in Latam, is a plus)

Technical Knowledge

  • Advanced MS Office skills (power point, word and especially excel). 
  • Professional experience in excel-based financial modeling (advanced formulation, macros…)

  • Multidisciplinary background (finance, accounting, commercial, legal…) 
  • High predisposition to multi-task working and flexibility for dynamic needs.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work autonomously.
  • Self-driven and proactive attitude with high initiative to take on challenges.
  • Willingness to work under pressure and to achieve aggressive goals.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and intercultural skills
  • Team management track record

LANGUAGES

  • English spoken fluently is a must.
  • Portuguese is a plus.
