We are looking for an Project & Structured Finance Analyst EMEA for one of our customers: a global player in the field of renewable energies, which develops, designs, builds, and manages plants that generate clean energy. Moreover, they provide highly specialized energy management and downstream services to both energy producers and consumers and use their know-how to manage third-party assets from a technical and operational perspective.

The Project & Structured Finance Analyst will work within the Project & Structured Finance team to support the development, financing, and construction of our customer power projects in the EMEA region. This role will have focus on the following activities:

 

  • Financial modelling for different processes (tenders, projects acquisition, PPA negotiation and financing M&A, etc.).
  • Due diligence coordination role, either for acquisition, financing, and M&A purposes.
  • Preparation of market reports, investment memorandums, project teasers and other documents
  • and presentations, as required.
  • The ideal candidate will have solid financial modelling background, strong work ethic, flexibility to adapt and prioritize his activities and role based on business demands and a passion for the renewable energy industry.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create, adapt, and maintain financial models for solar projects in connection with different processes. Financial models to manage will be either developed internally or coming from third parties.
  • Develop internal / external investment memorandums and teasers, for different stakeholders.
  • Support in the origination, negotiation and closing of project and corporate finance transactions, liaising with banks, financial partners and other institutions and their advisors.
  • Identify and quantify key investment drivers to perform sensitivities and provide an analytical assessment of different business cases, so deals can be structure in the most efficient manner.
  • Strong capability to understand and assess about the different tax and regulatory aspects of the business opportunities within the region.
  • Liaise closely with Business Development, EPC, Legal and other departments to move processes forward.
  • Perform general market researches.
  • Education/Training
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or related area.
    • Experience in a Big Four or an investment fund will be a plus.
    • An MBA or other related master qualification will be highly valuable.

  • Skills & Competencies
    • Good financial modelling skills. Certain level of experience with macros and Visual Basic will be a plus.
    • Strong analytical skills and understanding of relevant financial concepts for project finance and assets valuations. Previous project finance and/or M&A experience will be a plus.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express ideas effectively and fluently.
    • Ability to work in a collaborative environment where teamwork in an international environment will be essential.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize different processes simultaneously.
    • International experience will be highly valuable
    • Hard worker, team maker and flexibility with ambitious mind-set.
  • Languages:
    • Native Spanish, Fluent in English.  Other European languages also valued (Italian, German, French, Polish).
