We are looking for a Battery Storage QA/QC Engineer, for one of our customers: Our client is a global Consulting and Engineering firm. They are leader in the renewable energy and storage solutions sector, with presence in more than 65 countries, and participation in various industry associations. Their Engineering area is comprised of a consolidated team that works nationally and internationally on the basic and detailed design of renewable energy projects.

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a professional to join our client´s team as a Battery Storage QA/QC Engineer.

Main functions:

  • Review and Development of QA/QC Plans: Conduct detailed reviews of battery storage system specifications, test reports, quality control plans, audit reports and other technical QA/QC documentation. Create and maintain comprehensive QA/QC plans and procedures for BESS projects.
  • Compliance Verification: Assess documentation for compliance with relevant industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supplier & Contractual Management Support: Assist in the evaluation and communication with suppliers, managing related documentation, and providing administrative and technical support for QA/QC service contracts, with a focus on battery storage systems.
  • Coordination & Reporting: Coordination with inspection teams, particularly in regions like Asia-Pacific, compiling and analyzing detailed records of inspection reports, tests, and non-conformances. Generate internal/external QA/QC deliverables for battery storage systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of the best QA/QC practices. Leverage internal subject matter expertise within the company, by creating cross-functional relationships to assist with research deliverables.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.

Requirements:

We are looking for a dynamic person, accustomed to working in a team and with the capacity for learning. The selected person should provide:

  • Excellent understanding of solar PV and BESS design principles and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under high pressure and in a dynamic work environment managing multiple project deliverables.
  • Proven experience in solar and energy storage projects, either in engineering, design, or construction.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • At least 3 years of experience in PV/BESS analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to assimilate technical and commercial information and translate that into appropriate designs or assessments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality drawings.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple concurrent projects. Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as task prioritization.
  • Experience in one or more of the following fields:
  • Solar PV design, including residential, commercial, or utility-scale projects.
  • Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) design.
  • Familiarity with equipment specifications and selection for PV and BESS components.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with equipment specifications and selection for PV and BESS components.
